I've Arrived!!!
After a lovely lunch at the farmer's market with Mom and Dad and a quick visit with Leslie I made it to the airport. After quickly going through customs and boarding the plane on time we found out we had a 40 minute delay due to our pilot still flying in from Texas. Although a slight delay I made it safely to London on time. Our gate was full so we had to wait 20 minutes on the plane before getting off and making way through customs. My original plan was to sleep on the flight and be well rested for my new day here in London. The first 3 hours or so of the flight we encountered alot of turbulence which made for no sleep along with dinner. After dinner the lights turned off but instead of getting some sleep the 2 year old twins in the seats behind me took turns yelling until breakfast. The guy next to me was a paratrooper out of Fort Bragg flying to Afghanistan so at least he was interesting to talk to. Although I haven't had any sleep, I am excited and safely on campus and in my room. Representatives from Kingston met us at the airport and took me and 5 others to campus which was about an hour drive. I've unpacked and I'm waiting for lunch at 1 with everyone. Since we were one of the first groups to arrive we are the only ones in our suites so far. Everyone has their own room in a 5 bedroom flat with a bathroom and we share a kitchen. (I can only hope my roommates here are 1/10th as amazing as my roommates at home). This afternoon we have a walking and pub tour of Surbiton, the section of London we are in. Orientation begins tomorrow and the real fun begins!
